Can I export large directories that are currently duplicated in multiple distributions (on one installation of Windows) into a single virtual disk and mount that disk in all distributions in order to avoid data duplication and inconsistencies? The contents of the disk must be readable and writable.
Is there a safe way to mount a virtual disk in multiple distributions without risking access conflicts or data corruption?

A section of the WSL documentation describes how to mount a VHD in WSL. And there is also a discussion on how to create a new virtual disk an attach it to WSL.
