I think it would be great to have this tool Text Grab by @TheJoeFin integrated into PowerToys in the future, if he agreed of course.

I think this is something the main team (@crutkas, @enricogior, ...) has to decide. But if they are okay with implementing this tool, you @TheJoeFin can create a PR to implement it.

The repro doesn't have a license. Looking at the commit history, My guess would be it is #4371 which is Image With Text to Text pasting. Correct?

This app was just launched. I'll add an MIT license. You could use the Google OCR API mentioned in #4371, but I'd think Power Toys would prefer to use the OCR built into Windows.

Text Grab is very much a preview right now. I'm working on adding features over the next couple of days. When it is more complete I'd be happy to have it rolled into Power Toys.

The problem is the WinRT OCR APIs require package identity.

PowerToys is unpackaged and seems like the core team want to keep it that way. So the WinRT OCR APIs will be useless incase of PowerToys.
