Salve !

With some numbers / decimals, the calculator included with PowerToys Run display wrong decimals : a lot of 00000 or 00001 without any necessary.

Example : 8.43+4.43-12.8
Total display : 0,060000000
Total on the clipboard : 0,0,0599999999999987

(note : the calculation in the windows calculator application gives the correct result without unnecessary decimals)

ℹ Computer information

  • PowerToys version: 0.23
  • PowerToy Utility: Run
  • Running PowerToys as Admin: no
  • Windows build number: Windows 10 fr 2004

✔️ Expected result

The correct sum / total : 0,06 in this exemple

❌ Actual result

Total display : 0,060000000
Total on the clipboard : 0,0,0599999999999987

This was an issue a while ago: #3697. I thought it was fixed.
I wonder if #2265 will have the solution...

can repro this, issue is with the Mages engine. My hope is to get my hands on the calculator team's parser engine :)

Let me see if i can't maybe do some type of new hack to adjust this.

Actually, that is even worse if the clipboard is different than visual value.
