Steps to reproduce

Whenever my display goes to sleep on my desktop PC and I wake it up the keyboard manager breaks and all the keys are randomly mapped to different commands, I have to end the task and reopen for it to work again. It's becoming very frustrating.

I've tried my best to repo this but have failed.

Steps taken (Windows 11, admin and non-admin):

  • Set up a Keyboard shortcut (Alt F3 -> R) and a Keyboard key (T-> Y).
  • Let display switch off; switch it back on.
  • Test that the shortcut / key mappings work and also that they look correct on the UI.

To help us better understand the issue, could you:

  • Provide us with as much detail as possible on the problem? For example, do you actually "see" these re-mappings on the Keyboard Manager UI? Or is it just that mappings have stopped working? How have they been re-mapped - have they been swapped with each other?
  • Provide us with a bug report? (see below)
