Always On Top: Does not work for VMware Remote Console #18834
Comments
This happens because the VMWare window is also topmost. When several windows are topmost, the last activated one will be higher. |
I don't understand. The VMware Remote Console does not stay on top of
anything, it behaves like any other window. But when enabling Always On Top
via PowerToys, it does not apply.
|
Sorry for misunderstanding. Do you see a border around VMWare window after pressing a AOT shortcut? |
Yes the border appears but it does not keep the window on top. Once you
click on another window the VMware Console behaves as if you did not use
AOT. Additionally, when you enable it you hear the audible tone that
indicates AOT on, however if you toggle to another window and then back to
the VMware Console and press the toggle again, the ON tone plays again.
|
Thank you for your clarification. I understand the problem, the VMWare window resets its style at some moment, and AlwaysOnTop doesn't catch the moment when it's happening. I'll close the issue against #19168 to centralize the discussion. |
/dup of #19168 |
