Area(s) with issue?

Image Resizer

Steps to reproduce

Test Environment:
OS: Windows 11 Version Dev (22454.1000)
App version: 0.45.0
App name: Power Toys
Screen Reader: Narrator

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch 'Power Toys' application.
  2. Turn on Narrator
  3. On left side Navigation pane navigate to Image resizer menu item and select it.
  4. On Image resizer pane navigate to 'JPEG quality level edit field' and observe if narrator announces that you can change the values using up or down arrow keys.

Note:
This issue reproes on all similar scrollable edit fields.

User Impact:
If the correct information and relationships are not provided, it would be difficult for people with different disabilities as the information and relationships that are implied by visual or auditory formatting will not be preserved when the presentation format changes. Having these structures and these relationships programmatically determined or available in text ensures that information important for comprehension will be perceivable to all. Here we find that user will not be able to use the feature as screen reader does not announce the information related to usability of the control.

Guideline Reference:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/info-and-relationships.html

WCAG.1.3.1.-.Narrator.does.not.inform.the.user.that.use.up.or.down.arrow.key.to.change.the.value.of.the.edit.field.when.focus.navigates.to.the.JPEG.quality.level.edit.field.mp4

✔️ Expected Behavior

Narrator should announce "Use up or down arrow key to change the value of the edit field" along with the information of the scrollable edit field.

❌ Actual Behavior

Narrator does not inform the user that use up or down arrow key to change the value of the edit field when focus navigates to the JPEG quality level edit field. It just informs the user about the information of the edit field.

Changing Severity to Sev3 as an alternative is provided to access the edit field, and user can directly edit its value.

Closing the issue as minimal impact as here, the user can enter the required value in the edit field using keyboard number keys instead of using the Up/down arrow keys to change the value.
