It would be helpful to be able to:

New-PSDrive -Name 'Repo1' -PSProvider 'GitHub' -Root 'https://github.com/microsoft/PowershellForGitHub/master/'
Get-ChildItem -Path Repo1:

Searching has turned up a small number of possible PSProviders. However, all of them appear to be unchanged for 5+ years.

Does that suggest that it is a bad idea?
