Baseline improvements

Currently baselines offer a powerful way to select rules that can be customized by consumers and module publishers.

However, some limitations in the feature and documentation exist that can be improved further to make custom baselines both easier and more mainstream.

The scope of this epic is to:

• Enhance baseline features to reduce cases when a baseline needs to:
  • Be built from a custom script. OR
  • By manually listing each rule in the baseline.
• Enhance diagnostic logging capabilities for what rule is included or excluded.
• Remove blockers for general adoption by customers.
