Hello, I noticed that blensor as it is has no GPU acceleration. Does the software as it's written now have any potential to add an acceleration aspect to it and/or are there any newer blender based lidar scanners with GPU acceleration? Also is it feasible to update blensor to make it compatible with blender 3?

It uses the blender internal renderer which was removed in Blender 3.X

Cycles and Eeevee work fundamentally different, which is why it's not supported. We were working on a python only version that would work with blender 3.x but unfortunately did not have the resources to make it.

I see. Have you heard about any other more recently supported lidar simulating blender library or do you think I would be better off having my own shot at a python only version?
