When trying to install this package with composer install --optimize-autoloader i'm getting tons of errors:

Unfortunately we will not be able to fix theses messages in the current version, because doing so would cause compatibility issues.
But this issue will be fixed in a future version.

It will indeed occur in every 2.x versions...
Because of the compatibility issues, we will only be able to fix it on a future 3.x version.

Hola, bueno al parecer el error sigue vigente en la versión de Laravel 9.19, no le he comprobado aun pero una solución que tal vez funcione es descargando el zip desde el repositorio directo en github del SDK y agregar manualmente la carpeta en el directorio vendor de Laravel

El error no es debido a alguna versión de Laravel, si no con Composer.

Composer 2 ignora las clases que no cumplan con PSR-4 (muchas de esta librería), por tanto, mientras que no actualicen el repo modificando las clases afectadas pues seguirá ocurriendo el problema. Una "solución" temporal es trabajar con Composer 1

Is it on the roadmap to add support for the current version of Composer? Because all these errors are due to non-compliance with PSR-4 (requirement for Composer V2. If so, it'd be nice to have an ETA

MercadoPago tiene declaraciones en la instruccion "namespace" incorrectas en muchos de sus archivos.

Solo ponen:

namespace MercadoPago;

A pesar de que muchos archivos estan dentro de otros subdirectorios, como por ejemplo ErrorCause.php dentro del directorio Generic.

Si se corrige la linea del namespace, ya no salen errores:
