@rubenbroman how about |
Thanks @aol-nnov I haven't tested this thoroughly yet but it seems PTPCamera still starts up when the camera is connected. It's just that Image Capture doesn't pop up. I'll make more tests later on. |
Hi, running into the same problem (also El Capitan...). The file seems to be I can confirm the answer from @rubenbroman - the setting @aol-nnov sets doesn't prevent PTPCamera from starting. Best, |

Also trying to get libphoto2 working on mac & am struggling, wanted to see if there was any progress on this |
Was anyone ever able to figure this out for recent versions of Mac OS? |
To start with I would like to say that I'm very grateful for this script and it's been making my life so much better.
It seems Apple has changed their ways of starting PTPCamera in El Capitan. There's no
/Library/Caches/com.apple.ImageCaptureNotifications.DeviceDiscoveryDatabase.%d
. I've tried to do some reverse engineering and the code for creating the database is still in/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ICANotifications.framework/Versions/A/ICANotifications
but I can't find the database.Could you please look in to this?
Thanks!
Ruben
