GitHub pings issue opener whenever someone comments to the issue

Describe the bug

I have opened a couple of issues to Matrtix-Bifrost, whenever they are commented into, the GitHub bot on Matrix Bifrost room pings me about it.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add GItHub bot to a room? I haven't done it
2. Enable issue comment notifications?
3. Create an issue at GitHub?
4. Have someone comment onto an issue at GitHub

Expected behavior

The issue opener doesn't get pings on the issue. In IRC it would be a common practice to put a ZWSP after the first letter of the nickname so a client wouldn't ping. Alternatively I should have some obvious way of "disowning" the issue so I don't get further pings.

I cannot close the issue as they aren't fixed and affect a lot more people than me and I still wish to follow them with my own time through email. I am also interested in the project so I cannot leave the room either.

I have no control over the bot and only receive the notifications I don't need from it.
