I'm seeing the following warnings from hugo when building w/ bookdown:

Building sites … WARN 2019/06/03 17:50:37 found no layout file for "HTML" for "page": You should create a template file which matches Hugo Layouts Lookup Rules for this combination.

Based on gohugoio/hugo#5607 I guess these are a non-issue.
It might be nice to get rid of them anyway.
There is some information in the linked discourse discussion on how to get rid of them, but I didn't follow it entirely.
