Win+^ requires pressing Win+Shift+6 on US and UK keyboards, which is a bit awkward. Dunno what would be better though. What do other solutions like this use? For that matter, what does Quake use?

I didn't think of that, it would be best to make the hotkey customizable via a simple menu. Until i get around to do that, any suggestion for a more "international" hotkey? How about win + esc?

Win+Esc sounds good, as long as there isn't a standard use for it already. (I don't think there is.) Win+Enter might be another possibility, which would sort of fit in with Alt+Enter for fullscreen.
