when duplicating WooCommerce variable product, also duplicate variations:

A variable product in WooCommerce has a number of variations which are separate variation post types in the post table: one simply needs to iterate through these to apply the same duplication.

Once the approach is established, similar solution could be used to duplicate upsells / cross-sells and other types of grouped and bundled products.
