Hi Nate,
I'm reaching you again about this idea of you participating in the PyMoDAQ user/developer meeting in late october. Your participation could be in person or in hybrid (visio) mode. Here is an overview of the content of the program:

About the meeting and pymodaq. I started it's development in 2017 and opened it to the community in 2018. I trained quite a bit of people (mainly in France) on its use and its development so far and reached the conclusion it was a good time to have a community meeting. The meeting will be held the 20/21th of October with a training session just before (17-19th). During the 2 days of the meeting, we will have presentations about:

  • Novelties in the pymodaq ecosystem
  • how to add value to open source software towards scientific and industrial communities (Patrick Moreau from CNRS Physical institute).
  • Successful experimental implementation using pymodaq
  • Thematical Extensions of the agnostic pymodaq base (pymodaq_femto for femtosecond laser pulse characterization)
  • Other open-source development that may show synergies with pymodaq (micromanager, instrumental-lib)

and round table about:

  • practical implementation and difficulties encountered
  • Building a community (also with you and your experience with instrumental-lib)
  • future needs and evolution to develop for pymodaq

About all this, could you contact me directly using my email address: [email protected] (and then close this fake issue)
Regards
Sébastien
