Rust 2024 will be officially stabilized in Rust 1.85.0, scheduled for release in February. (See rust-lang/rust#133349 for details)

If editions are raised, you must be prepared for a certain amount of breaking changes. This issue is a roadmap to Rust 2024.

Roadmap (for Rust side)

Rust Release date Channel
1.85.0 - officially stabilized 2025/02/20 nightly
1.84.0 2025/01/09 beta
1.83.0 - babyrite is now supporting 2024/11/28 stable

Roadmap (for babyrite)

  • Update Rust version used by babyrite docker image
  • Switching Editions
  • Code-based response (if there is a breaking change) - can it be a cargo fix?
