Binding existing posts

It would be awesome if one could bind existing posts, similar to how Relationship field works. Once those existing posts were added (maybe through a search interface above the child post list) they could then be edited in the child post field. The question is then: Should you be able to bind a post to mulitple child fields (one-to-many as opposed to one-to-one relationship)? I think it should be possible.
