File Input - .sincedb file is broken on Windows #2
Comments
Please see and comment in jordansissel/ruby-filewatch#39 for the current status and next steps toward a new release of filewatch gem |
Thanks @wiibaa, will follow up with this |
Filewatch 0.6.1 has been released last week. Is it possible to release (even a maintenance or candidate) with this fix ? The current bug with Windows is a major break to using LogStash in my company. I have time to test it, during next days. |
Has this been fixed in 1.5.0? |
yes, 1.5.0 includes filewatch lib 0.6.2 that, on windows, uses a different way to get a unique identified for the file. |
Thanks |
Copied from https://logstash.jira.com/browse/LOGSTASH-429.
There seems to be a potential upstream fix to the ruby-filewatch gem which would fix this. See jordansissel/ruby-filewatch#32
