Serializable should probably be a mixin

Could this be a v2 feature? I don't know of any platform objects which are mixins right now; seems like we would need a lot of infrastructure, not just in specs but also implementations (e.g., how does the branding work?).

Sure, but it does seem like a pretty valid use-cases.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of that proposal, and agree that it has valid use cases. I think it'd be a second work item to make platform objects be mixins, which is much more complicated than the mixin proposal itself.
