Use arrow keys with empty search

When I start the plugin, I see a menu of all of my symbols, as expected. When I tap the down arrow on my keyboard, the first symbol is highlighted. When I tap the enter key on my keyboard, I expect that first symbol to be selected.

Instead, the highlight is cancelled, effectively resetting the plugin. If I tap the down arrow twice, I expect to see the second symbol highlighted. Instead, I still see the first symbol highlighted.

It appears that the arrow keys do not function as expected until I type something into the search, at which point they work great. It would be useful to be able to use the arrows to select a symbol without needing to search first, for example, if the symbol is at the beginning of the alphabet and you already see it when the menu loads, or on a project with few symbols total where searching is not needed but you want a keyboard shortcut to add symbols.
