Is there a way to get a track's play count with librespot?

I'd like to get a track's total play count from Spotify. That's not possible with the official Web API, but it is something that the Official Desktop Client displays.

Is a track's play count available through this library?

There is no exposed API currently in librespot (the binary), but if memory serve me right, there should be a playcount field exposed by the hm://album/v1/album-app/album/{albumUri}/desktop endpoint.

So tl;dr
librespot the library can be used to make a mercury request to fetch this data..

Indeed, it's a dinosaur w.t.r the current codebase, so be warned.

@ashthespy I'm getting compile errors when I try to build Spanalyse on Rust 1.51.1. Is there a version of Rust you recommend using to build Spanalyse?

To be honest I see a lot of changes in my local tree -- this might be easier.

Probably not the most ergonomic with all the unwraps() and the roundabout bytes parsing from the payload, but should get you started with the new codebase :-)
