I have an id baking workflow where I assign materials with pure colors to faces of meshes, and then I bake those material colors to a single texture. So, I don't have a hi-poly mesh, I just want to bake materials to itself. I was excited to find out EasyBake as the baking process involves many clicks as you know, but it can't bake without assigning a high poly mesh. Right now, we are required to have a high poly mesh as well, which means I need to duplicate meshes every time, then assign them in the panel. It would be great to cut time on duplicating as well..
