big number of markers

I am trying to use the plugin for a map showing 3000 points, but it completely freezes, is there something I'm doing wrong or that I should do ?
When I use it for a limited number like 100 points it works well.

You may want to look into the marker cluster plugin for Leaflet: https://github.com/Leaflet/Leaflet.markercluster
