I perfer a complete engine based on grammar, support particial input instead of current prompt_toolkit.regular_grammar based on regex.

It will be the core of Lexer and Completer (grammar), can be used to validate input, get_completions etc.

It should be easy to extend so users can write their own plugin to support more command from redis module, or a fork version of redis.
