Two views

one "preview pane" (live content)
one "resources pane" (summary content)

Implementation details

-- summary notation overview of images, waypoints, channel groups

Palette of image layers, data layers, shape annotations
-- should all be reusable between waypoints
-- Reuse of the elements from the "palette"

(similar to how channel groups persist in Minerva Author)
