The Brazilian Foreign Policy Hemeroteca is a database that
contains a selection of articles published, from
05/11/1976 to 01/01/2011, by some Brazilian newspapers,
among which the following stand out: O Estado de S. Paulo
, Folha de S. Paulo and Gazeta Mercantil. The selection
and classification of news was carried out by professors
Tullo Vigevani (UNESP) and Shiguenoli Miyamoto (UNICAMP)
and the coordination of the digitization and availability
project was carried out by professor Marcelo Passini
Mariano (UNESP). The digitization work began in 2002, at a
time when digital materials were scarce, and continued
until 2011, when digital materials became widely
accessible. The objective of this Hemeroteca is to allow
interested researchers access to news that was selected
and classified over the indicated period on important
events relating to Brazil's international relations. With
approximately 30,000 news items covering various topics
relating to Brazil's foreign policy, this News Library is
divided into 13 themes: Brazil - Africa; Brazil - Latin
America; Brazil - Asia; Brazil - Middle East; Brazil -
Europe; Brazil - Argentina; Brazil - United States;
Brazilian Foreign Trade Policy; Brazil - International
Economy; Brazil - Environment; Brazil - IT and Copyright;
Brazil - Subnational Governments; Gazeta Mercantil
Collection – Special Numbers. (2024-03-05)
