Version 2.4.2 hangs on load

Describe the bug
When opening Monokle 2.4.2, it shows a New Release splash screen and hangs forever (Not Responding).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open Monokle

Expected behavior
Not hang

Eventually (maybe 10min+) it finally loaded.

Only the one time it was trying to show the New Release splash screen...was taking forever but now since it's been loaded and that screen doesn't show again it's loading as normal.
