I was also wondering about this while having problems connecting a TrueNAS Scale nfs share in Kubernetes v1.28. Everything works (static mount of nfs share and node mounts via nfs).
While having problems finding a solution I switched to https://github.com/kubernetes-csi/csi-driver-nfs/blob/master/deploy/example/README.md and will never look back.
Works like a charm and is maintained.
