Hi,

I have done a minimal example which looks like

    let pv: PersistentVolume = pv_create(name, namespace);
    let pv_api: Api<PersistentVolume> = Api::namespaced(client, namespace);
    let pp: PostParams = PostParams::default();
    match pv_api.create(&pp, &pv).await {
        Ok(o) => {

The namespace default exists, and the pod_api example works - looks to have almost identical code. Am I missing a dependency or some init code to get it working ?

If I output the PersistentVolume to a YAML file and use kubectl apply -f pv.yaml the resource gets installed.

kube-0.73.1 w/ kind/main

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

uhm, that is confusing. i don't think there's been any upgrades to PersistentVolme versions in kubernetes (which is usually what that error message "the server could not find the requested resource" means - i.e. apigroup/version mismatches).

you could try to cross-reference with kubectl:

you see your post url is https://127.0.0.1:40149/api/v1/namespaces/default/persistentvolumes from your logs
kubectl will posts its urls via kubectl apply -f .. -v=9. maybe there's something weird that's not lining up there.

oh, wait, PersistentVolume is not namespaced. You gotta use Api::all for it.

Ah, great - works now :)

It would be nice if Api knew from its own context which combinations were allowed, e.g.

let pv_api: Api<PersistentVolume> = Api::namespaced(client, namespace);
...
pv_api.create(&pp, &pv);

would throw an error highlighting that Api::all should be used instead.

Ah, yeah - that would indeed be better. We even had some plans on doing this via #194 but it fell to the wayside, I'll try to spend some time on it soon!
