We would need an e2e test for the following:

  • set up fluentd/syslog-ng + fluentbit with metrics enabled
  • check metrics endpoints and verify a few stable key metrics are available (or find a good way to verify the metrics endpoint returns a correct set of metrics)
  • stretch/optional: install prometheus crds and check if servicemonitors are created properly
