I have yabai on version 7.1.3, skhd on version 0.3.9 and AltTab installed. Additionally MacOS is on version 15.

The problem is that I have 2 windows stacked on top of each other. I can switch the focus of the input but the window in stays in the back and does not move to the front. Sorry, if this issue has already been reported but I have not seen it and just wanted to ask for help. I switched off system-integrity in case that matters. The video appended tries to show the issue at hand.

If there are any more infos that I can provide, please let me know.

Thanks in advance and kind regards.

I think I found the issue but am still not sure how I can fix it. The command that is used to arrange these windows in the way they are is in the skhd-config like this:
alt - c : yabai -m window --toggle float;
yabai -m window --grid 1:5:1:0:3:1

This moves the window on the grid to the front but the window in the back is just not in a grid. Therefore it cannot really be gotten to the front. If the command is applied to both windows (unlike in the video, where only the terminal is in grid), the swap for foreground/focus works.

Does anyone have an idea on what the instruction for the config should be such that the windows are interchangeable for foreground but keep their current layout or is that just a bad idea?

This solution saved me from the same problem.
