Honestly I got a bit carried away with this tool, the next major version will probably be a bit simpler (e.g. I'll probably remove validation, and try to merge the readme subcommand up into the top level command...).

The Markdown section picking in inject-markdown is ambitious! It's hard to formalize a humane but flexible syntax for the path queries. I looked into exposing unist-util-select for this purpose, but lost steam.

And thanks for CSpell, it is awesome. I recently created a custom dictionary for it, which was a fun exercise and the process was well-documented. It's also impressive that CSpell is still performant with such a huge dictionary.
