Just like https://github.com/feathersjs-ecosystem/feathers-sync does it would be useful to be able to switch the underlying implementation of service discovery/rpc. Indeed, cote is not suitable for all usages and some others interesting libraries with similar features could be used like https://github.com/moleculerjs/moleculer, https://github.com/zygos/moleculer-adapter-feathers might help.

This should not however compromise the current simplicity of use.

No real need and support for this at the present time.
