1.19.4 jump boots

I have downloaded the jar file for the latest version and booted it up on my oculus 2. I am able to use the climbing claws just fine, but in no way however I use it, the jump boots will not work. I have tried uninstalling the spigot extension and reinstalling. I have tried changing controls around. I have followed the steps to use the boots and all that will happen is I jump in place a normal minecraft jump height.
