Featured images not showing on homepage

Featured images are not displaying on home page
When I upload an image or use an image url it does not work. I am getting broken image icon.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to blog dashboard
2. Click on upload an image where it says choose file / add an image url
3. Hit save edits
4. Navigate to blog home page.

Expected behavior
I expect the image to display on the blog home page.

I ran into this issue when working on a local machine with xampp, but on the server everything works correctly. Apache failed to rename images from upload folder to year/month/day folder. maybe you have a similar problem
