We should also thank you @johannesjo for creating such a unique and awesome productivity app in the first place! And for all your care and hard work since. I would not be put off if the app surfaced a friendly ask after I've used it for a couple months, and perhaps again annually after that. Just something friendly that links to a donation page. Kind of like what the KDE project did with the Plasma Desktop environment on Linux. I saw that and thought, "Hell yeah! I love the Plasma desktop and have used it for years! Of couse I want to give back!" And I did!... Note however that I loved the project just as much for years, but never donated until I was asked. Fundraisers say the number one reason people say they haven't given is because they were never asked. You should ask, because you totally deserve it. Just don't be pushy by asking too soon. Give time for people to figure out the value it has for them first. And don't be a nag. Give a long time between asks. Do that, and I bet it will be warmly received. Cheers! |

New Year's Eve is right around the corner here in Germany. This is a good opportunity to look back at 2024 and to say thank you to those who contributed to the project.
Thank you very much, @jiongxuan, for the many awesome additions for Android that allow for bundling the frontend with the app and which will also make it possible to work on the iOS version in 2025.
@Jagdfalke, thank you for answering and organizing the many issue requests and for your valuable input. This was really a big help to me!
Thank you, @aripollak, for introducing and maintaining the Flathub release! Bringing Super Productivity to so many platforms is quite exhausting sometimes, so I am all the more thankful for your help.
The same goes for @alosarjos, who is maintaining the AUR release! Thank you!
And thank you to all those many other contributors. This project would not be possible without your valuable input and your great work!
THANK YOU!

What else was added in 2024
In 2024, I had quite a lot of time to work on Super Productivity, and some features were introduced that I had on my list for a long time:
What is planned for 2025
This is a list of things I ideally want to tackle in 2025. But no guarantees.
Most importantly, I would like to grow the user base of Super Productivity. Times are uncertain, and I would love for the app to sustain me a little bit. Currently, I am quite far off that goal, but we'll see :)
I also might continue to work on minded, which is a gentle anti-procrastination helper, which is currently available for Android and as a browser extension.
All the best to you all and a wonderful year 2025!
johannesjo
