Is it possible to order tasks in "today" however i want?

So i have a multiple projects and each project has tasks which are a routine and which are temporary, and each day i have to order the tasks so i dont have to search for them in my long list of tasks. I want to order tasks for "today" once and want the new tasks to take a default order until i custom place them in my tasks list, when they are custom ordered i dont want the tasks to get back jumbled the next day.

Not sure if I understand. Can you maybe elaborate with an example or two?

So i have alot of tasks to do today (pretty much the same on a daily basis), i want to rearrange / order / move the tasks up or down. This is possible but everyday i need to arrange them as i want it to be, if i add a new task, that task will always be on the top of today list until i add another new task. Is there a way to arrange / order the tasks as i want once and it will always be in that position?

Example- In Today, default arrangement

Task Latest
Task Latest -1
Task Latest -2
.
.
.
Task oldest -2
Task oldest -1
Task oldest

Required Custom Arrangement

Task Latest -2
Task oldest
Task Latest
Task oldest -2
Task oldest -1

I'm not sure what he wants was well,
however my use case is maybe similar(ish):
I'd like to have regular tasks (like a checklist, reoccurring daily or weekly, or even yearly) that occur every day in the same order,
separated from the manually ordered tasks.

So that you visually see the difference between "standard reoccurring tasks" and "the real work"
=> e.g. if its a busy day I could skip/check as done some or all of the reoccurring ones fast & easy but not beeing distracted from the important ones

Edit: just did some tests and saw, that my usecase can be done already, Thank you!

Edit2:
A) However, this works in the project view, but doesn't seem to work in "today" view => Bug? I would like to have the rank by numbers in "today" view as well
B) in "Schedule" view the reocurring order numbers are treated the other way round. The higher the number this task is presented first (should be last to be consistent)
