For the message types I would suggest those:

  • Trade (my offer gets taken, trade process steps)
  • Disputes (dispute messages)
  • Offerbook (once an offer gets added to the offerbook with a defined currency, payment method and price range)
  • Price alert (if price for a defined currency goes below or above a certain value)
  • Delete all notifications (in case the iPhone gets stolen the user should be able to remotely wipe the data out)

The mobile app can then display icons and maybe colors by message type.
