Hyperlink aliases broken when converting rst to rst

Hyperlink aliases are broken when converting rst to rst, for example:

$ pandoc --from rst --to rst
`link <google_>`_

.. _google: https://google.com
<C^d>`link <google_>`__

<C^d> represents pressing Ctrl-d. The output lost the .. _google: https://google.com line, resulting in a dead link. (Or put differently, it did not inline the url as it normally seems to do.)

Pandoc version:

$ pandoc -v
pandoc 1.18
Compiled with pandoc-types 1.17.0.4, texmath 0.8.6.7, highlighting-kate 0.6.3
[...]

Possible fix: In my case, returning the input unchanged when from==to would do.
