hello,
i am dependent on subtitles for my media consumption. unfortunately i had many issues with Jellyfin and subtitles.
im running latest Jellyfin (10.8.13) on my debian linux server. My Media Player is a nvidia shield tv (2015) with latest official Jellyfin Client (0.16.6).
my subtitles are in 95% of the cases .srt files or included in the .MKV video file.
If i use the default media player (exoplayer) in 90% of the cases i get a "subtitles loading" screen for a few seconds and then nothing happens and subtitles fail.
if i switch to the experiemental "libVLC" implementation the Subtitles playback is more stable (not perfect though) but the fonts etc are not consistent to the settings in the jellyfin client settings regarding size etc. Sometimes the are small, sometimes they are big. its all over the place.
what can be done to improve subtitle support on my side or on jellyfins side for people who are dependent on them (non-native english speaking people or people with a medical condition)
Logs
there is no crash happening, subtitles are just not loading
FFmpeg logs
No response
Media info of the file
mostly .mp4 .mkv files with seperate .srt files or the subtitles are included in the video file
Application version
0.16.6
Device information
Nvidia Shield TV (2015)
Android version
latest Android TV Version
Jellyfin server version
10.8.13
