hahaha, I can see that, but maybe just link to a normal esp8266 guide?
most people who have some experience with micro controllers are going to at least know what voltage is, and how to find pins.

@the I've added my experience to http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?p=43900#p43900 .
I found out about the pull up in the documentation, I've got the serial bridge working. Thanks for your support!

And thanks to @bc547 his https://gitlab.com/bc547-playground/avr-link addon I'm now also uploading my program to the atmel 328p (with optiboot bootloader) directly from AtmelStudio 7. Maybe an idea to add this handy tool to the esp-link readme as the "normal" avrdude doesn't like net connections on windows?

Berco Mar 24 06:39
Oh, and although I haven't tried, maybe a link to the alternative, windows friendly avr-dude you ( @tve ) gave at 7th of january, would also be nice. This one: https://kuleuven.box.com/shared/static/ruwoo6q5kgmsiv93q2xp015iyq9fdwym.zip
