Can I run these Arduino example code in a NodeMCU Kit?

Hi there
I have upload the esp-link firmware to a NodeMCU kit(1.0), it works good. But when I run the Arduino example code in el-client, found it needs Arduino duo WIFI board. So how to modified the arduino code let them just store in NodeMCU kit? Example: I upload the siampleLED.html to NodeMCU kit, and this siampleLED.html can be displayed, if I click the button, how to control the led on NodeMCU kit?
