Modernize project #1063

I started updating Gradle but got sidetracked. I could get back to that. |
@RobbieLePommie Technically the "now" that you refer to is actually "for at least the last 5 years", possibly much longer. Rather than just being able to use a generated app password, which has been the case for a very long time, I would hope that soon (or already) people must use a generated password, and must not use their main account password for IMAP, POP or SMTP access. |
So i guess this app won't work after May 20 as the less secure access will be disabled. Thanks |
@schneemaier I believe you will still be able to use App Specific passwords if you have 2FA set up. And in SMS Backup Plus, configure it as a normal IMAP destination |
Based on the email i received App Specific passwords will go away too. The email states that either sign on with Google or OAuth 2.0 support is required. The email is in Hungarian: Also app specific password only available if 2Factor authentication is enabled. The best would be to get OAuth back. @kurahaupo Do you still names and email addresses you requested in #1059 (comment) for the OAith2.0? |
