Invited students don't appear in list nor is there an error

Story #2: As a Coach, I can invite students to join my POC.
As Coach, invite unregistered student in "Student List Management".
Student isn't added to course, nor does the student appear in the "Student List", nor is there an error.

I think there's two issues here, one that I have seen in my browser and one that I have only seen in @pwilkins

1. If you try to add a single student that isn't already registered, it fails and there is no error message. If you do the same thing in the instructor dashboard it will also fail, but you get a an error message explaining what happened. (screenshot attached).
2. On Peter's machine, he added a POC user that we knew was registered, and they did not appear on the list. This was a bit mysterious.

I just added an issue for the misspelled word in the error msg.
