Feature: Show legend image in Layer Control

Hi there. I have an extensive set of groupedOverlays and a selector box users can choose from about 20 layers. Is there a way I could embed a GeoServer legend graphic right, ideally between the checkbox and layer title? Thanks!

You might be able to use HTML for the layer name, and include the image that way. You'll need to include some CSS to style it properly.

Alternatively, someone in the community might be willing to fork the project and add that feature, if it hasn't been done already.
