I've tested nearly all of chromium based browsers(including weird Chinese products), and I can declare with no doubt that Iridium is the best chromium browser I can hardly choose. This is all my feelings after using Iridium for 1 year.
I'm grateful using the latest version, which is 2022.4 version of Iridium now. For all my gratitudes, I'd like to point out one thing that confused me. That is the side panel button right above, next to the guest/user icon.
First I saw this icon after installing the latest version of Iridium, replacing the old one. I'd noticed it was a function with the latest chrome so I somehow tried to ignore it. However I did struggle to disable it. After I searched the way of disabling(which was to turn it off in chrome flags), it was found out simply that it won't work. So I turn function Parallel Downloading on, did some reboot stuff to my computer, then something confusing happened. I opened Iridium again after rebooting and icon side panel just disappeared! Obviously I have no idea what leads to this.
Thus I came here for some help: was it a function that Iridium just disabled the icon but somehow it showed to me due to some bug stuffs? Or was it still bugging my computer disabling the icon?
Best wishes to Iridium browser team.

Accidently I've now found the reason side panel shows at startup. It happens when you first open a browser app(Youtube Music etc.), then with opening a new browser process it automatically shows side panel icon. You may solve it with closing the app first then reopen the browser process. Also need to mention that you should first disable browser's background running function.
