The standard Node script doesn’t work nicely with self-signed certificates. The current workaround is to push the update to an unsecured CouchDB server, and then replicate it to the secured one.

Perhaps it works more easily with CouchDB Kit.

Some details on the certificate issue:

The mentioned workaround doesn’t work anymore because we don’t replicate from an unsecured CouchDB server.

We’re currently using an old version of Couchm because of this. The newer version shows more accurate data.
