ideep contains an ancient copy of mkl-dnn (0.x version), while the latest verson is onednn (1.X, or 2.Xbeta). What's the status of this project? and do you have plan to upgrade the embedded copy of onednn?

I'm asking this because I'm preparing packages for official Debian archive, and I don't want to deal with inactive projects.
pytorch/pytorch#37332

Thanks in advance :-)

Well, ideep has different branches for different framework integration. Currently mainly caffe2/PyTorch. It isn’t suppose to be used as a independent package. 😊

@CaoZhongZ Thanks for the pointers. I realized that there are two related branches: pytorch and pytorch_dnnl. Which branch is the latest? And do you know whether it can be built against onednn 2.0~beta5 ?
Thank you very much.

@cdluminate pytorch_dnnl is our latest release branch, and pytorch is no longer maintained.

And do you know whether it can be built against onednn 2.0~beta5 ?

We haven't test this yet. Also, we don't have a plan to switch to that at this moment.

Thanks for the info. I'll try it out in the future
