Header changes to dark and obscures content

Just upgraded plain text editor to version 2.15.1 on Nextcloud 24.0.12. After upgrading plain text editor, opening a markdown file in plain text opens the markdown editor as before but also causes the page header to turn dark and obscures the text, icons, etc. Also, as I recall there was a close button/image that also appears to be missing.
